When I work as an intern doctor I meet all sorts of people, the poor, the rich and the sick. When asking about their information I get to know their educational and their financial backgrounds.
When talking with these people I got to realize that your education has nothing to do with your financial background.
I have met people who have passed their OL examination and work as manual labourers, I have also met people with the same education level working as office assistants and making a good enough salary. I have even meet people who have passed their AL exam but still could not find a job for themselves.
So many people with same education level but living totally different lives.
There is a friend of mine who failed his OL examination, even at school he never wanted to study hard go to university and be a professional. He dropped out from school after he failed his OL examination and started small vegetable stall by the road. It was a small vegetable stall in 2007, however he slowly started building the shop from zero. He now owns his own car and a house, his vegetable stall is now a decent enough shop and growing, has people working for him.
So what have I learnt from talking with so many people?
Your education has nothing to do with how successful you are going to be in life!!
This comes down to one simple fact, in schools they won’t teach you how to handle money, school won’t teach you how to work hard and schools won’t teach you how to be unique.
Schools follow a syllabus, a set of rules and all students learn the same, but that won’t teach you to be unique. There won’t be any difference in people who are learning the same thing, isn’t it?
So what can you do to be different? If you are going to school learn what they teach you and learn it well. But at the same time learn something that will put you ahead of everyone else, today there are more than 101 ways to learn something new, information has never been this free.
Learn how to handle your money, like I said in a previous post make sure you keep in track of your spending, and learn how to make money and learn how to make money work for you.
The rich don’t work for money, they know how to make money work for them — The rich dad and the poor dad
Just because I wrote this post doesn’t make me any richer than you, I just shared what I saw and thought of worth sharing.
